Work Injury – How Do I Avoid These?

If you are currently working, I’m sure you have experienced an injury even for once. Most people, when they hear the word “injury” usually think of an accident. A common misconception. Why, you can even experience pain without even meeting an accident. Say, you are working in an office and all you’re doing the whole day is sit in front of your computer and file documents, surely you will experience back painsa after months of doing this work over and over again. To help you in your working dilemmas, here are some tips that you can do to prevent work injuries:

Do some stretching – This would be advisable especially if your work consists of a lot of sitting. Remember that if your body got accustomed of that comfortable position, the fats and sugar will pool on your body because of lack of movement. Do a little stretching one in a while. It will also help your blood to circulate properly.

Close your eyes and count to 60 – Are you fed up of looking in front of your computer? The screen’s radiation will surely make those eyes tired. Give your eyes rest by closing them for a minute. This will also help in refreshing up your mind. Just take a minute of eye rest. Preventing a work injury is better than cure, right?

Drink water often – Being rehydrated regularly is the most effective way of keeping yourself from being sick. Make sure that you have a tumbler of water on your desk so if you want to have a quick gulp, you can easily rehydrate yourself.

Yes, you need to work but you don’t have to beat yourself up with the all the things that you need to accomplish. Give yourself a break. Have in mind that if you work hard to your body’s limitations, you might get injuries during work and everything your worked hard for will vanish.
